Thickness belongs to a route
Thickness is often quoted without a route, but on this site thickness only makes sense with one. The handmade rockwool panel, Type 50, has a conventional thickness of 50 mm, with 75 mm and 100 mm as custom options. The machine-made rockwool panel, 1150 type, has a thickness range of 50 mm to 150 mm. A thickness figure that does not name its route cannot be checked, because the same nominal thickness can belong to either route with a different width convention and a different joint.
How to specify thickness
Specify thickness area by area: one thickness for each wall run and each ceiling run, together with the route, density and joint for that run. Do not assume an intermediate thickness is available for the handmade route without a check, because the handmade set is a base thickness plus two custom options, not a continuous range. For the machine-made route, confirm the chosen thickness within the 50–150 mm range for that area. Before ordering, confirm the minimum order quantity and the lead time in your inquiry.
